Hi, everyone!

Greetings from Singapore! I'm here on vacation, staying with my bro Charlie and Tita Cuz and Mamita. I'll be back in Manila by December. This picture was taken at our house in Paranaque, Christmas of 2008.  Obviously, Charlie and I are very much into basketball. He plays center and I'm a point guard.

It's been a long time since I last blogged about my whereabouts. I'll post Singapore pictures soon, okay! For now, let me go back to planning for our pool party this weekend. :)

Hotel Review: Radisson Blu

Mom just had an event here last week and was fortunate enough to go with her. The room's awesome! There's enough space to move around. The bathroom is so posh and clean. Loved their oatmeal soap. So smooth on my sensitive skin.

Check me out smelling the sheets! Mom slept like a baby once she put her head on those soft pillows. There was also free wi-fi, a flat screen TV and all the writing materials you need if you're a businessperson.

The buffet's yummy too. Got to meet the Executive Chef and he was very pleasant and warm.

This 5-star venue is a Henry Sy-owned hotel. PNoy was actually there for its inauguration. You'll really feel like an A-lister in Radisson Blu.

If you're headed to Cebu, book a room there! You won't regret it!

Boracay, see you soon!

They're making Caticlan an international airport! That's what I heard earlier this morning. Mom and I can't wait to take pictures!!! We're leaving next week and I am just SO excited! But Mom said we're landing at the Kalibo airport. Sad! Tita Rika kasi is afraid of small planes. Oh well.

I'll update you on my adventures. Later!

Spend a Weekend Here!

I love Tagaytay! It's near our place (I'm a South kid), the weather is perfect, the food is great and the things you see along the way are so fascinating!

Mum, Dad and I were there last June 13, together with one of Mum's best friends Tita Antoi and her husband Tito Dusko. We took their car, the all-new Mitsubishi Montero Sports. Very, very nice! I was so relaxed at the back. Imagine, Dad woke me up at 5 in the morning??? Whaaaat???!!! So I slept most of the way until Mum and Dad woke me up to ask if I wanted to eat white corn. Yum!

We had a sumptuous breakfast at Breakfast at Antonio's, our favorite hangout in Tagaytay. Here's what you can order:

1) Their melts-in-you-mouth pancakes. Don't forget the syrup!
2) Spanish sardines. So, so good!!!
3) Beef tapa. It tastes like the ostrich tapa of Cagayan de Oro. Perfectly done, I must say!
4) Tita Antoi and Tito Dus order chorizo. Wasn't bad at all too!

And before you leave, don't forget to go down their garden. See my pic? That's Tita Antoi's hand by the way. Hahaha!

After we filled our tummies with good food, would you believe we headed to Cliffhouse to eat desert at Cafe Breton??? Food fest!!! We all ordered La Pinay. Tito Dus and Dad had beer! Hala!

Going home, we passed by the Pink Sisters where we bought Angel Cookies. I love these! The nuns make them from the excess dough that they use making hosts.

Then we passed by some antique shops. Mum wants to do something with our backyard. I heard her and Dad talk about beach couches or something.

We got home before sundown. With Tagaytay, you don't really have to stay the whole day. Perfect day trip. Perfect day spent.

Thank you, everyone!

To all those who greeted me... thank you very, very much!

I turn four years old today.

Cheers to more fun, food and travels!

My Bacolod Surprise!

HELLO, BACOLOD!

And to start off my Bacolod story, here is a piece of food trivia.

This type of shellfish below has a really long tongue and such a yummy taste! It's sort of like scallops, only it's bigger and juicier. Tried this dish when Mom finally took me with her to Bacolod last Wednesday. We were there with her entire team until Saturday.

We ate at the Restogrill Bar and Restaurant, much like a Dampa here in Manila. It's within the Reclaimed Area of the City of the Bacolod. The breeze was fresh and the food was super good! Try their adobong kangkong as well. Mom and I were so full after this meal that we had to go back to the hotel and sleep!

Must Try Food!

CHICKEN BACOLOD

And it should only be in AIDA's, a carinderia, amongst many other "chicken Bacolod" carinderias in the Chicken Bacolod "strip" (yes, there is actually a strip) of Bacolod. Order their petso (chicken breast) and ISOL (the chicken's ass, hahaha!), which are so outrageously delish! The Isol is just filled with juices and flavor. Mom and I took home 5 sticks (each stick has 3 pieces of Isol) for Lolo, Lola and Tito Mark to savor.

They also ordered oysters at this place. You can buy it just outside the canteen. Have vinegar mixed with soy sauce ready and viola! The perfect feast!

EEL NA MAY GATA

At first, Mom was a bit hesistant to try this dish. Mr. Paul brought her to this restaurant by the beach, similar to Iloilo's sutokil concept. The eel was cooked in coconut milk, with various types of spices and veggies. Mouth watering indeed!

Bacolod is such a great place for food lovers like Mom! No wonder she thinks she gained 5 pounds on this trip. No wonder we had to pay P700.00 as excess baggage charge! Hahaha!
